Offered is, what is without a doubt, the finest Zuni fetish necklace we have encountered carved by renowned Zuni artist Sarah Leekya (d) The daughter of Leekya Deyuse, Sarah’s work is highly prized for it’s organic nature and wonderful representations of birds, leaves and fauna. This wonderful necklace represents the pinnacle of her work and includes many representations including very rare examples of bears and foxes carved in white shell. Even the majority of, what appears as simple turquoise nuggets, have been fashioned into quasi representational figures of animals and leaves. This beautiful fetish necklace with its natural Mediterranean coral beads is just fantastic!
