The sacred figures represented in Vacit’s art inseparable from the stories he conveyed throughout his artistic career. Sacred symbols from ancestral pottery abound, as does direct representations of the katsinum, as is depicted in the very rare and extraordinary example offered here. Flush stone to stone inlay combine with channel set stones set inside the shimmering flat silver of the artworks surface. The combined effect is both startlingly commanding and yet somehow ethereally sublime. The lapidary and silversmith’s skills demonstrated within Vacit’s art are incomparable and clearly demonstrate why Vacit’s jewelry art is so highly revered.

Condition is very good overall. Minor age related cracks have appeared in a couple tiny areas of red abalone and are inconsequential to the artwork.. Else, fine condition.
