Exceptional Fred Peshlakai petrified wood bracelet.

$4,750.00

Wonderful petrified wood and sterling bracelet. ca. 1950. Fred never stinted on his silver-work or design and this great bracelet is certainly an example of that. In this case Fred split and pulled apart the back-plate creating its width at the face. Typically removed, the inside silver remains, left over after the face-widening was created, is here retained and dexterously cut and curled to create volutes on the upper shoulder. Additionally on each outside edge side of the shoulder and band a tiny flat wire is then soldered on vertically creating a 90 degree channel within which tiny ropes of twisted wire deftly rest. Stamp- work embellishes the sides of the inner flat surface of the split and band which is then culminated by five repousse domes on each side. A wonderful petrified wood stone of FP caliber finish the artwork. It really is another great example for the Peshlakai catalog.

Hallmarked FP over a long arrow.

Measures: 5 and 7/8ths” end to end plus an additional gap of 1 & 1/8th” for the typically favored FP size of 7.

Weighs: 50 grams.

Condition is excellent. There is a small ‘ding’ to the silver of one of the volutes. Else fine condition.
