The collaborative work of mother and son is the most highly prized of Maria Martinez’s large body of work. Here the piece has been double fired wherein the black on black result of the first firing is burned off in the second leaving the SIENNA colorway shown here. This dark sienna colored jar is in excellent condition albeit we did find a couple very small blisters overall from the heat of the double fire. Else very fine.
